Lord Aamer Sarfraz
Lord Sarfraz is a Venture Partner at Draper Associates. He is a Member of the House of Lords, the upper house of the United Kingdom Parliament. On his appointment in 2020, he became one of the youngest life peers in the UK, and currently sits on the Lords Science and Technology Committee. Prior to joining Parliament, he was a Treasurer of the Conservative Party, and advisor to the party on outreach.
Previously, he was a Managing Director of The Electrum Group, a global private equity business investing in natural resources, and started his career in the venture capital team at 3i Group plc. He is founder of Better Grain, an agritech business.
Lord Sarfraz sits on the International Advisory Board of Texas A&M University, Dean’s Advisory Board of the Boston University Pardee School, Leadership Council of the wildlife foundation Panthera, Board of Governors of WWF Pakistan, and is an Advisor to the FAIIR Initiative and Jeremy Coller Foundation.
He received his MSc (with Distinction) in Information Systems from the London School of Economics & Political Science, and BS from Boston University’s School of Management.
